These mobile bank branches were designed and built for Lloyds Banking Group to serve remote areas where there are fewer bricks-and-mortar branches. From Inverness to Cornwall the fleet of 49 vans covers the UK offering customers a similar range of services to a high-street branch.

Built on a 7.5 tonne chassis, Cartwright’s engineers worked closely with the team at Iveco to make approved alterations to the vehicle that were critical to fulfilling Lloyds’ needs. The interior of the vehicle is designed to look like the flagship branch in London with a high quality finish and colour-coordinated soft furnishings. Climate control is powered independently by a combination of batteries and a back-up generator, which doesn’t require the engine to be engaged. Customers are able to carry out almost all of the same transactions they would in-branch thanks to the sophisticated telecommunications and satellite system.

Working closely with the vehicle operators and the leasing company, Cartwright is on-hand to offer 24/7 support. Lex Autolease officially recognised the strength of this relationship when they honoured Cartwright's Head of Manufacturing, Jason Barker, with an award for outstanding levels of customer service on this project.
